WASHER/DRYER QUESTIONS
Q: The dryer is not starting. What do I need to do?
A: The vast majority of the time when a dryer does not turn on, it is the breaker switch. Please locate your breaker box and find the switch for the dryer outlet. Sometimes this requires flipping the breaker switch a few times, making sure you are completely turning it off and then on again.
Q: The dryer takes 2 to 3 cycles to actually dry my clothes. What is the issue?
A: There could be a couple of reasons why it is not drying the clothes thoroughly. The most common reason is that the ventilation to the dryer has a blockage. If the dryer is getting heat (you can run the dryer for 30 seconds and feel if there is heat) and the drum is turning (you can check to see if the drum moved during the 30 second heat test), then the issue is most likely that the ventilation to the dryer is restricted. You will need to request the maintenance department clean out the dryer ventilation in your apartment. If there is no heat at all after being on for 30 seconds or if the drum is not spinning, go to the Customer Login and place a repair Work Order
